Y’all I could not help it. I HAD to whip up some cranberry sauce getting me all prepped up for the holidays. This recipe is SO EASY, yet not light on the calories. But hey. Live a little 🙂
First – heat your oven to 300 degrees.
Second, here is what you need:
12 oz bag of fresh cranberries
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of apple juice
one cinnamon stick
Put all that into a glass 1/2 loaf pan and mix it up good.
Cover it up with some tin foil. Stir it around after one hour, and cook for 2 hours.
Then take it out, remove the cinnamon stick and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
I then used a hand held blender right in that dish and carefully smoothed it all out. You can use that or a food processor or regular blender. Just make sure to BE CAREFUL. It’s HOT.
Then you have YUMMO GOODNESS!
I recovered it with foil then I put mine in the fridge overnight and had it on some toasted english muffins this morning for breakfast and it was delish!!!!!
